Hi, I’m Gwyn
Originally from New Zealand, I moved to the U.S. in 1997 with a franchise company based out of Australia. The term Kiwi is often used as a label for anyone from New Zealand, however soon after I arrived in the U.S. my colleagues started calling me Kiwi consistently, and so what is a general nickname for many, stuck- and became a permanent nickname for me.
From the moment I arrived in the U.S., I fell in love with this great country and all of the opportunities it affords to its citizens and business owners. In 2009, I became a proud U.S. citizen and am still enamored today by this great land of enterprise and opportunity. My passion for franchising stems from 20+ years as a Vice President of Franchise Development at different companies helping franchise owners find and achieve success. My role afforded me the opportunity to assist new owners from various backgrounds and walks of life in all aspects of selecting and starting a franchise including:
- Due diligence
- Finance
- Site selection
- Lease negotiations
- Equipment, Inventory, and Asset purchases
- Set-up
- Training
- Opening
- Operating
- On-going support
In 2015, I became a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) by completing all program requirements and pledging to uphold the Code of Ethics of the International Franchise Association. This training and education helps me to better serve my clients.
As an entrepreneur myself, I am passionate and dedicated to helping others in their journey to become entrepreneurs by leveraging the proven success of franchising, and this is why FranDecision was created.
